“My brief stay at “My Kashmir Home” exceeded all expectations. The Lapis Suite was a blend of traditional Kashmiri aesthetics and modern comfort. The attention to detail was impeccable, from the wooden ceiling to the king-size bed and the attached bathroom with a bathtub - a dream! The location, near the Dal Lake and surrounded by nature, offered a serene retreat, deeply peaceful despite being amongst the hustle and bustle. Hi All, I stayed there for 4 nights with family in month of April 2023. I booked Ruby suite. Room was huge with such a nice interior. I found host Aamir a very loving and friendly person, a thorough gentleman. He make sure to meet guest every single day to check if everything is alright (if you need anything or he can help you anyway). Staff was also very friendly and helping 24x7 (Specailly Muneer to name). Muneer was the one stop solution to all needs/doubts/concerns during our stay. We booked the gems suite which are so large that a mini turf can fit into it. A special thanks to Munir who was the manager and was very helpful. A perfect place to get a peace of mind and inspiration!
I stayed 15 days at my Kashmir home, I felt home away from home. The owner and his family are a source of kindness, and are very warm and welcoming. Coming from Dubai, I needed a break from the city, to disconnect completely in a green and peaceful environment.
I will definitely come back, I stayed in the Sapphire room which has excellent amenities, the size of the suite is big and has its own private entrance.

However, food quality can be improved a bit if one prefers to eat at the property. The rooms are big and spacious, and maintained in the traditional Kashmiri style. If you are looking for a great Dal Lake view, then this is not a recommended one. However, if you are looking for a good host, with a property that is neat and clean, and is centrally located/nearby to all the touristy spots, then is an ideal location. Accommodation prices are high everywhere in Srinagar, so compared to other cities it might not seem like a good value for money but then relative to options that exist locally, Aamir offers a good stay option at this price. In a nutshell, he makes up for any negatives with his great charm!”

My Kashmir Homes is one of those amazing places you can stay at when you are at Srinagar, Kashmir. They are truly pet-friendly. We stayed at the ruby suite and it was so so spacious. It was a complete studio in itself. The Rooms were warm and comfortable. The furniture was of great quality and the beds and bed linens were of high quality. The washrooms were superb and well designed. They also make some amazing home cooked food. The garden was so pretty and lovely.Our studio had a private garden which my dog loved to relax at. The location is great and was close to dal lake. It was away from the crowd and great if you like some privacy during your vacation. The location is also very close to a few gardens like Shalimar and Nishat. If you are looking for a comfortable stay at Kashmir, do stay here. The people are friendly and loving. And don’t forget to order some kawa!

“We stayed at the Sapphire Suite at Aamir’s beautiful homestay.
The suite in itself is lavishly furnished with large window overseeing a well maintained garden.
It was an homestay experience in the true sense. I was fortunate to meet Aamir who does not live there but was visiting during my stay.
Aamir and his staff (Munir) took great care of every requirement that we had, be it food or arranging taxis or advising on places of interest.
Aamir went out of the way and offered his own car and chauffer as we were not able to get a taxi during the busy tourist season one evening, which is much appreciated.
We wanted to stay away from the hustle bustle of the Dal Gate area yet be close to the lake. Aamir’s My Kashmiri Home is just what we wanted.
The place is a 10 min walk from the Nishat Garden or Ghat. You can easily find an auto rickshaw to go to the city from there.
We had sumptuous home cooked Kashmiri food.
Overall, a great experience and will recommends my friends and look forward to coming back someday.”

“Aamir’s place was exactly at it looked like in the pictures. Very tastefully done and extremely neat and tidy.
Location is not the best. It is a residential locality. Difficult to get a taxi/auto from here and no departmental store nearby.
Aamir is a good host, quite warm. He introduced us to his family. Gave us nice suggestions on local eateries to try.
The food that the place serves as dinner is good but quite pricey (Rs 800 per person), but then you won’t have any other options if you don’t eat out and come.
The listing mentioned there is a kitchen, which is primarily why we booked it because we were traveling with a 1 year old. But there is not really a kitchen, just a kettle, some utensils but no induction or cooktop to cook.
In the peak season the rates can go as high as Rs 10,000 per night, which imo is not value for money.”

“My sister and I stayed at Amir’s home “My Kashmir Home” for 2 nights (in April 2022) and we had a splendid experience... It had the perfect location - calm, serene, away from the crowds and yet close to all tourist attractions (Nishat Garden, Tulip Garden, Pari mahal, ghats from where you could take Shikara rides, great restaurants etc). The suite itself was spacious, very well equipped, very clean and private - we really couldn’t have asked for more...
Running hot water, an electric blanket and prompt room service added the cherry on the top and Amir himself gave us such a warm welcome that it truly felt like a home away from home. There even is parking available for your vehicle/cab on the premises.
I would highly recommend staying here on your visit to Srinagar. I know I will be staying here again when I visit with my husband during the winter months :)”

“I along with my parents stayed at Aamir’s property for 3 nights during Ramzan. We picked the Emerald room, although if the booking allowed, I would have picked the Sapphire room. He is a super amazing host and personally made sure everyday that we were comfortable and had everything we needed.
His head of staff, Munir, looked after our everyday needs from breakfast to dinner and was super attentive and responsive! They even have an amazing Kashmiri chef, who cooked authentic wazwan for us. We are Kashmiris and loved the food everyday! They even got us Kashmiri breakfast from the bakers every morning. All this was done while they fasted every day.
Hotels are transactional relationship but here at Aamir’s place, you have an opportunity to create a one-on-one relationship with him and his super amazing staff led by Munir! We look forward to staying there soon!”

“If you want to experience Kashmir rather than just a stay , this is the place .
We were a group of 4 , with an infant . As soon as we landed at the airport , we received a welcome call from mr aamir , the owner of the property .We were offered a pick up from the airport . The place is quite accessible to dal lake . As we reached the place , we had a warm welcome by the beautiful garden , the wonderful host and his parents. We were given 2 suites , which is separated from the main house . The place was neatly set and catered to all our needs, the bathrooms are well fitted and maintained no less than a 5 star hotel . We were invited for traditional Kashmiri lunch at their place , which is a 10 bed room house , decorated with Kashmiri antiques , collected over generations . The food was great . We had tried famous restaurants in srinagar , but nothing was even close to the delicacies served at their place . Mr Muneer , who takes care of the guests was prompt and ready to help us at any time of the day . The host not only made our stay pleasant , but also helped us plan a safe trip .
I would recommend this place to all those who plan to experience the pleasant weather , beautiful nature , warm people and awesome food of Kashmir .”
